It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Sharon Carter, former Executive Director of the Newport Partnership for Families. For more than 25 years, Sharon was a tireless advocate for Newport families. Her inspired passion for improving the lives of the children of Newport is a legacy that shall live on in the work we continue to do. Those of us who were lucky enough to work alongside of Sharon will remember her dedication and her unrelenting drive to make a difference. Her spirit and enthusiasm only gained strength as the years went on; she was truly a force. I know you will join with the Newport Partnership for Families as we send our heartfelt condolences to Sharon’s family and many friends.
