Entering its 20^th summer, NPFF’s Reading Reaps Rewards (R3) initiative is a unique collaborative program that addresses “summer learning slide” among Pell Elementary students. The four partnering sites – Newport Family & Child Opportunity Zone’s Summer Learning Academy (SLA) located at Pell, Dr. Martin Luther King Community Center, and the Boys and Girls Club of Newport County – are committed to providing a high-quality six-week summer learning experience for our city’s most at-risk children.
