The Equity in Education K-6 work group brings parents, nonprofit leaders, and school administrators together to work to improve outcomes for students and families. Current work includes developing parent advocacy workshops, working to increase BIPOC participation in the PTO at Pell Elementary, and has a long-term goal of diversifying the teaching faculty in Newport schools.
